Chiropractors in Australia complete at least five years study at university. The curriculum has a medical focus and special emphasis is placed on anatomy, neurology, biomechanics, radiology, physiology, diagnosis as well as sound training in spinal and peripheral joint adjusting. All chiropractors in Australia must also pass a demanding state board exam.
There are three Universities in Australia that teach chiropractic: Macquarie University, RMIT and Murdoch University.
