Sometimes when you have a chiropractic adjustment you may hear an audible ‘click’. This is due to a negative pressure that is created in the joint. With some chiropractic techniques, the liquid in the joints turn to gas and that is what makes the sound that people describe as a ‘crack’. Not all chiropractic techniques utilise these methods. Some types of chiropractic adjustments use very low force techniques like respiration and gentle pressure only.
